CASA
“TALITHA QUM"
Its name, “Talitha Qum”, means: “Girl, get up!” We offer free rehabilitation to poor children who suffer from a psychomotor disability due to brain paralysis, Down syndrome, or other similar problems.
We are currently treating 30 children. |
|
| |
We work with kids up to ten years of age, whose parents lack the necessary economic resources. Usually because of unemployment, parents do not have access to private insti-tutions, health insurance or prepaid medical services, where their children could carry out treatment.
There is a group of chiropractic specialists, psychologists and psycho pedagogues who, |

together with some volunteers- mostly advanced students from the University of Cuyo- work to bring the best out of these children. |
| |
We have also carried out workshops for the children’s parents to guide them in their education and stimulation and to support them in this hard task. We have generated a small but committed group of people who work towards the objectives we have settled. |
