CASA “TALITHA QUM"
Its name, “Talitha Qum”, means: “Girl, get up!” We offer free rehabilitation to poor children who suffer from a psychomotor disability due to brain paralysis, Down syndrome, or other similar problems. We are currently treating 30 children.

We work with kids up to ten years of age, whose parents lack the necessary economic resources. Usually because of unemployment, parents do not have access to private insti-tutions, health insurance or prepaid medical services, where their children could carry out treatment.

There is a group of chiropractic specialists, psychologists and psycho pedagogues who,

together with some volunteers- mostly advanced students from the University of Cuyo- work to bring the best out of these children.

We have also carried out workshops for the children’s parents to guide them in their education and stimulation and to support them in this hard task. We have generated a small but committed group of people who work towards the objectives we have settled.
