The Home’s objective is to provide palliative care to terminally ill patients coming from public hospitals. These patients have neither economic, nor social protection. Their families are absent or are incompetent to take care of them.

We seek to help the neediest in this difficult time of their lives since it is the time when both effective material help is needed as well as spiritual and affective support. We count on a multidisciplinary team of experts that supply physical, psychological, social and spiritual relief..

EQUIPO MADRE TERESA DE CALCUTA
Obispo Trejo 219 – Of. 305  Te: (0351) 4235140

Since June 2002, a team of volunteers have been accompanying people who live alone or feel lonely in our city. We try to soothe their pain and anguish for being lonely.

Our job is carried out in a rather simple way: we talk with them but mostly listen to what they have to say, we read to them, go out for a walk, run errands for them or do any other kind of activity that may help these people feel valued and loved. In this way, we
hope they find opportunities for them to interact with others again.

HOSPEDERIA PADRE ALBERTO HURTADO S. J.

Mondays through Saturdays from 6 pm onwards.

In mid 2002, we opened this temporary home for male adults who live in the streets, who have no economic resources, and in some cases, have no family. We offer them a warm place to stay, bathroom facilities, food and a comfortable bed; a place where they may feel supported, accepted and taken care of.
Our objective is to help these men to recover their dignity and social rehabilitation by providing them with psychological, spiritual and social assistance.

We count on a team of interdisciplinary
professionals who advice us on our mission.

SEARCHERS
Within the Hospedería, there is a group of young volunteers that walk the downtown area at night looking for men who live in the street and would enjoy a warm meal, a little chat and some company. We intend that, in the near future, these people choose to live in the Hospedería.

JOVENES MANOS ABIERTAS

We are a group of youngsters that collaborate with the different activities that the foundation organizes such as fund raising events, celebrations and other activities. We also participate as volunteers in the different projects and we visit a group of elderly men that live in a neglected home.
We also have a weekly meeting for spiritual enlightenment.
Our goal is to become instruments in the hands of God to soothe the pain of the neediest through very simple and concrete tasks.
